You remove friends by clicking on your "friends" button, with silhouettes of two people on it. Battle request them if they are not online or already in a battle.Battle request them if they are on Prodigy and not in a battle.Know what areas/quests they have finished.

You'll have to use your math skills to rescue the monster, so make sure you're ready before selecting YES!
In order to rescue a monster, the following conditions must be met: Other pets cannot rescue monsters, so make sure that your wizard is in the battle when you find a monster you want to rescue! Your wizard is the only member of your team that can rescue monsters and bring them onto your team as pets. There is currently no trading option for pets or items.
